Four Feathers manage the process of custom winemaking from vine to bottle, in small lots or at scale, depending on the needs of each client. In addition to turnkey winemaking, they offer a full range of services, all within our own state-of-the-art facilities. 

The Zirkle family started growing fruit in Washington State in the 1880s when the great-great-grandparents of current company president Mark Zirkle moved to the Yakima Valley from Virginia. 

Their fruit business has continued to grow over the years, and today the company farms apples, cherries, pears, blueberries, and wine grapes throughout Eastern Washington from Oregon to Canadian borders.

Bulk Wine

Four Feathers create consistent and award-winning wines from vine to bottle, combining a century of agricultural heritage with a state-of-the-art winery in small lots for clients across the entire spectrum of the wine industry, from well-known global brands to smaller, entrepreneurial wineries and negotiants.

Beverage Innovation

Consumer demand is increasing for alternative beverages, including wine-based flavored beverages and a plethora of non-wine-based products such as ciders, hard seltzers, and non-alcoholic beverages. 

Four Feathers have a dedicated team that focuses on beverage innovation and helps clients explore new products, and work with established companies and start-ups that want to meet the growing market for calorie-conscious, low-alcohol conscious, and environmentally friendly products. 

Studio 

Studio enables Four Feathers to showcase the exceptional quality of our fruit and offer clients vineyard-designate, barrel-aged wines from the very best blocks of their estate vineyards. The collaborative nature of Studio gives customers unprecedented flexibility to create premium, barrel-aged wines at scale.

Wine Refinement 

Advanced Targeted Filtration System (ATF) targets and remediates many common issues that can arise in winemaking, including acetic acid and ethyl acetate, smoke taint, 4-EP/ 4-EG taints associated with Brettanomyces, frost taint, water dilution, as well as other molecular taints. This system also incorporates Ultra Filtration (UF), providing the ability to achieve color, sugar, and tannin concentration in juice and wine.

ATF allows exacting control of alcohol content, allowing for ideal wine balance and fruit expression (sweet spotting) or complete removal of alcohol (<0.5% abv) to create novel new products.

Packaging

Four Feathers Wine Services offers full-service, turnkey solutions to accommodate a range of packaging needs. The facility provides a variety of multi-packing options, rework capabilities, a 58,000-square foot, temperature-controlled storage area for case goods, and a large shipping area with multiple loading docks.
