Classica International NV began as the business branch of the Avignonesi winery in Montepulciano, Tuscany, and now distributes a carefully curated collection of quality Italian wines throughout the world.

The wineries under the Classica International label are all dedicated to producing terroir-driven wines. From Piedmont to Sicily, the Classica International family of winemakers is united by a passion for producing authentic, terroir-driven wines.

Classica International is a portfolio of artisanal wineries carefully selected by Classica for its attention to quality and concentration on a natural, eco-friendly style of producing wine, in keeping with Avignonesi's organic production philosophy.

Avignonesi, founded in 1974 and named after a founding family member, was purchased by Virginie Saverys in 2009. Avignonesi is a small village in southern Tuscany that surrounds Montepulciano, the birthplace of Italy's first DOCG red wine, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Virginie has worked tirelessly since then to convert the entire property to organic and biodynamic viticulture. Avignonesi has been a benefit company since 2021.
